The NIRSAL Plc is inviting all small farmers, farmer leaders and aggregators to apply for its Agro Geo-Cooperative loan, which was created for the purpose of sustainable farm structuring, and to provide sustainable access to finance, quality inputs and structured markets through NIRSAL facilitation. The scheme targets creation of 16,000 Agro Geo-Cooperatives (ranging from 10 hectares to 20,000 hectares and above) on four million hectares of farmland and enrolling about eight million farmers within the country who are expected to produce about 12 million tonnes of Grain Product Equivalent (GPE) yearly over the medium to long term.

Requirements for NIRSAL Agro Geo-Cooperative Loan

• Applicants must be Nigerian Citizens.
• Must be a farmer or interested in farming.
• They must posses Bank Verification Number (BVN).
• Have National Identification Number (NIN).
