NYIF Shortlists 10,000 Applicants For Training and Loan Disbursement

The Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) has shortlisted 10,000 applicants for training and loan disbursement. Those whose names appear on the list have been approved for fund disbursement under the NYIF loan scheme.

According to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, 10,000 applicants have been shortlisted out of over 3 million applicants that are undergoing screening for the NYIF loan. The shortlisted applicants will be approved for specific amounts.

Following the successful completion of the pilot phase, NIRSAL cleared names of another 10,000 for training and loan disbursement. The loan amount ranges from N250,000 to N3million.

Recall that NYIF is scheme created by the federal government of Nigeria to provide fund in form of loan to innovative young Nigerians.

The loan has 5% interest rate and a moratorium of 12 months before repayment. NYIF was approved in July 2020 by Federal Executive Council.
