Here we will show you the official application portal of the Business Resilience Assistance for Value Adding Enterprises (BRAVE) Women Nigeria Project. BRAVE women Nigeria is interested in developing the capacity of women Small and Medium Enterprises to achieve business spirit and become change makers in selected value-chain. This programme is strictly for women and is targeted at accomplishing the following:
• Train 600 SMEs on risk assessment and create Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
• Provide grant support of over N6 – 8 million naira ($15, 000 – 50, 000) for 500 SMEs and $40, 000 – 50, 000 for Business Associates and Lead Firms
What are the Eligibility Criteria for SMEs Grant?
Grant Sum $5, 000 – 15, 000
• Your business must be located in the approved project states.
• 51% of the business must be owned by a woman/women.
• Women-led SMEs must own at least 20% of the shares.
• At least one woman must be in a top management positions COO/CEO/President/Vice or 30% women’s membership.
• The SMEs must be in either of Agriculture business, education, health, textile/garments and energy.
• Must have between 2 – 100 staff.
• SMEs must not be involved in offering financial services and taking interest.
• Must not be involved in any business not approved by Shari’ah.
• The business must be registered with CAC in the last 12 months and a proof provided.
What are the required documents beeded for application?
The following documents must be attached to the application for documentation:
• Certificate of business registration from CAC (if you have).
• SMEDAN certificate (if you have).
• Company’s profile showing a list of products and services.
• A stamped memorandum of Association from CAC showing 51% women ownership.
• Professional operational licence for health, energy, and education, etc.
• Operational licence (HAFDAC, Franchise, Distributorship) if needed.
• Tax Identification Number.
• Signed and stamped bank financial statement of the last 12 months (for the business).
• Agreement form (if the business is registered with over one owner or partnership).
If you not have operating or professional licence, NAFDAC or SMEDAN licence, you can submit a short letter explaining your reason and upload for documentation.
