According to the update posted by the Ministry, the programme (N-Power Scheme) came into existence in the year 2016, and has accommodated five hundred thousand (500,000) beneficiaries so far (Both batches A and B).

Over one hundred and nine thousand eight hundred and twenty-nine (109,829) volunteers from the first two batches (batches A and B) are currently running their own SMEs, which is an additional step in the growth of the country’s economy.

Npower scheme is a vital aspect (initiative) of the Federal Government’s National Social Investment programmes (NSIP).

As at current, the batch C will record about one million (1,000,000) beneficiaries just as approved by the president of Nigeria, this will be facilitated by NASIMS.

Due to the high number of applicants to be accepted into the scheme, it has therefore helped the FG to fulfill its vision of removing (lifting) one hundred million (100,000,000) Nigerians out of poverty in ten (10) years, by training them to have skills as long as interested persons are within 18 years to 35 years old.
