The Federal Government of Nigeria created the Jubilee Fellows Programme for Nigerians as a youth empowerment partnership program with backing from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to lessen the negative development effects of rising national unemployment and underemployment rates.

The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Program aims to place 20,000 highly trained Nigerian youngsters in commercial and public sector businesses around the nation that span a range of sizes, sectors, and types. The 12-month, fully-paid program is aimed at improving employability, developing leadership skills, and transferring on-the-job abilities.
