Published

on

Blocking your bank account if your phone is stolen means taking quick steps to prevent anyone from accessing your money or personal information linked to your phone. You do this by freezing your bank account and, if needed, disabling your SIM card. It’s like putting a lock on your bank to keep your money safe.

Losing your phone and wallet, especially if your phone number is linked to your bank account, can be frustrating. The initial step is to freeze your bank account to prevent unauthorized access and withdrawals.

How to Halt Your Bank Account and SIM Card

Here are steps to block your bank account:

1. Contact your mobile network provider’s customer support to request a line ban. If banks are open, visit them to address the issue.

2. If internet access is unavailable or the bank branch is closed, call Customer Service, provide your bank details, and disable your ATM through online banking.

3. Dial the bank code on any available phone and follow the instructions to stop debit transactions instantly.
