Your chosen academic field, institution, and location could all be within reach if you take IELTS, the test that universities and educational institutions all over the world trust. Each of the nations listed below will award seven lucky IELTS test takers with a £3,000 reward to help them realize their academic goals. Test takers residing in Bangladesh, Canada, Colombia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa are eligible for the British Council IELTS Prize 2022.

Eligibility

  • Be 18 years or above.
  • Be a resident in one of the above countries (except applicants in Canada).
  • Begin undergraduate or postgraduate study in academic year 2023/2024.
  • Attend a higher educational institution that accepts IELTS as part of its admission requirements.
  • Between September 1, 2021, and September 15, 2022, register for an IELTS exam with the British Council, and you must be able to submit an application with a valid IELTS score.
  • A minimum of 5.5 on the overall band scale.
  • Possess a letter of admission from the institution by no later than September 1, 2023.

Application Process

  • Fill out the online IELTS Prize application completely, and upload copies of your:
  • British Council IELTS Test Report Form.
  • Recent photograph.
  • Passport or identification document proving your residency in one of the eligible countries.
  • Special requirements certificate (if applicable).
  • It is also feasible to email your country’s office these documents.

Selection  procedure

The British Council IELTS Prize 2022 eligibility requirements, the personal statement, and the IELTS score will all be taken into consideration when evaluating applications.

Prize Award

After the British Council has formally verified your status with the institution you intend to attend and has gotten verification of your legitimate study visa or online education, you will be paid the IELTS Prize directly in 2023.
