Corps members June Allowance Didn’t Enter Voice Mail – NYSC

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has said it had no plan to postpone payment of Corps members June allowance.

The scheme dismissed as fake the news trending on social media that corps members June allowance has been postponed or cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The NYSC Director (Press and Public Relations), Adenike Adeyemi, in a statement, said the news were the handiwork of mischief makers.

She also said that every corps member shall recieve June allowance (populary known as allawee). And in addition, Corps member that will be passing in July “shall receive July stipend, as well as transport allowance.”

Below is her words;

“Management hereby states that the release did not emanate from the NYSC. It is the handiwork of mischief makers bent on deceiving corps members and should be disregarded in its entirety.

“For the avoidance of doubt, all qualified corps members shall be paid allowance for the month of June, while in addition, those passing out from service in July shall receive July stipend, as well as transport allowance.”
