Ex-Oyo governor, Ajimobi dies from COVID-19

The immediate past governor of Oyo State, Senator Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi has died from COVID-19 at the age of 70.

Ajimobi has been battling COVID-19 for the past one month without getting better. When his condition worsened, he was admitted at the First Cardiologist and Cardiovascular Consultants Hospital, Lagos on 2nd June 2020.

According to trusted sources, his COVID-19 condition was worsened by his diabetes and other underlying ailments. He later went into coma last week Friday, forcing him to be placed on a life support machine.

He gave up the ghost on Thursday.

Ajimobi was a senator in Oyo State, he represented Oyo South from 2004 to 2007. He also governed Oyo State from 2011 to 2019.
