The Federal Ministry of Health has released a circular over payments of the national minimum wage arrears. The circular which was got by Nyscinfo•com correspondent is dated 14th September 2020, and addressed to Chief Medical Directors of Federal Teaching Hospital, and Medical Directors of Federal Medical Centres and Specialty Hospital.
The circular does not concern NYSC members, but it shows there is hope for them as something can still be done about their arrears. The NYSC directorate can as well release a circular to the Ministry of Youths or other appropriate authorities on the payment of Corps members minimum wage arrears.

RE: PAYMENT OF THE ARREARS OF CONSEQUENTIAL ADJUSTMENT OF THE NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE
It has been brought to the attention of the Federal Ministry of Health that some of your Staff who are being paid on the GIFMIS platform, are being owed arrears of Consequential Adjustment of the National Minimum Wage.
2. You are therefore directed to compile the details of the aforementioned Staff and the amount due them, forwarding same to the Director, Department of Hospitals Services for further necessary action.
3. Treat expeditiously.
