FG Begins Sharing Of N20,000 COVID-19 Relief Fund To Homes
FG begins sharing of N20,000 COVID-19 relief fund to homes.
The Federal Government has commenced the disbursement of N20,000 to poor homes in the country.
According to Sadiya Umar Farouq, the minister of Nigeria’s humanitarian affairs, distribution of the funds were in compliance to the directive of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Farouq said this while speaking at the commencement of the cash transfer at the Kwali Area Council of Abuja.
Below are his words;
“We have directed immediate cash transfer to the poorest and most vulnerable households in the country.
“Because of this COVID-19, the vulnerable groups have to expand, because we are aware that there are people who live on daily wage, so we are also going to look at those groups of people to see how we can get this food relief intervention to them in this period”.
Also, Farouq in a statement on Tuesday said the government will be distributing food items to poor households in the country during the coronavirus stay-at-home period.
She said the food items will be distributed to poor households in Lagos, FCT, and Ogun State where Buhari ordered their lockdown for 14 days on Sunday.
He added that the government’s relief programmes will help Nigerians reduce the hardship caused by the outbreak of coronavirus which necessitated a stay-at-home order by the government.
How do I start pls
I don’t think the distribution of fund relief is fair, where millions are dying of hunger, then as a government you choose half of quater to satisfy, if the president has order the above mentioned state to be lockdown then who lock rest of the state?.
I believe not every stipulated citizens will still be opportune to get the money, I mean Lagos,Abuja, Ogun.
Note: According to Usman danfodio said and I quote ” a state can develop even without unbelievers, but a state will never develop even with believers, without justice, fairness, and equity”
