How to Reset Your iPhone Using Find My iPhone

This is the faster alternative, but you are technically abusing a function that is intended to be utilized if your phone is lost or stolen. If you’ve misplaced your phone, don’t quickly erase it. Instead, set it to Lost Mode, which will prevent unauthorized use of your smartphone.

Step 1: Launch a web browser on your laptop or desktop and navigate to the iCloud website.

Step 2: Click Find iPhone

Step 3: This will display a map of all your devices, from which you may select your iPhone.

Step 4: When prompted, choose Erase iPhone, enter your Apple ID credentials, and confirm the phone erasure.

Step 5: From here, you can configure it as a new iPhone.

How to Reset An iPhone Using Finder or iTunes

This method will necessitate a combination of button presses as well as timing the cable connection with such button presses. It’s a little more difficult, but it’s simple to understand!

Step 1: Turn off your iPhone. For phones newer than the iPhone 8, hold down the Lock and Volume down buttons until the power slider appears. For anything older, simply press and hold the Lock button to achieve the same result.

Step 2: When the phone is switched off, connect it to your Mac or PC and force it into recovery mode. There are several ways to accomplish this:
