GirlEng Technovation Camp 2021 For Aspiring Engineers In High School

Be informed that the application for GirlEng Technovation Camp is now officially open to accommodate interested and qualified applicants.

The GirlEng Technovation Camp is actually open to accommodate sixty (60) high school girls who are within Grade 9 to 11 and have interest in pursuing a career in Science, Technology,

Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
The program is scheduled to take place for four (4) days, where successful candidates will be camped to undergo an active learning course, that aims at getting the girls to start acting and thinking like engineer(s).

The initiative will provide insights from female engineering students and professionals, who will enlighten the participants about future technologies, basics of coding, and robotic workshops.

Due to observations of the covid19 protocols, the camping will be done in two phases of which each of the phase will have a total of thirty (30) participants (girls). The both phases will run within the months of June to July 2021.

Time: 08h00 to 16h00

Eligibility

1. Show high interest in pursuing the discipline.

2. Be in high school, and of grade 9 – 11 studying science.

3. Be a girl child who based around Johannesburg irrespective of where you hail from.

4. Readily available to attend the four (4) days workshop.
