JAMB CAPS login is a portal where candidates can either accept or reject their admissions.
For example; if you’ve been given admission, it’s your responsibility to proceed to JAMB CAPS portal to either ‘Accept’ or ‘Reject’ your admission. JAMB CAPS portal is meant for both UTME and Direct Entry candidates.
In this article, I will show you how to use JAMB CAPS to Accept or Reject your admission.
JAMB CAPS Login
In recent time, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB launched the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) where UTME and Direct Entry candidates can accept or reject their admission.
CAPS is a part of JAMB’s new admission policy. All admissions into higher Institutions in Nigeria are to processed online through CAPS.
Therefore, candidates seeking for admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria should visit the JAMB CAPS to track their admissions.
It is important to know that some schools may not publish their admission list on their portal so it’s advised to track your Admission through CAPS.
NOTE: Once you ‘Accept’ your admission into any institution, your admission quest will be over.
You will no longer have chance for admission offer in other schools.
But if you ‘Reject’ the admission, you will become available or have chances of getting another admission in other schools.
If you neither Accept nor Reject your admission, your admission will hang in the air – no further action will be taken.
What is Joint Admission and Matriculation Board CAPS?
The JAMB CAPS is a Central Admission Processing System introduced by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board.
It’s an online portal where Direct Entry and UTME candidates can Accept or Reject their admission.
The portal also enables candidates to track their admission processes in any institutions across Nigeria.
JAMB CAPS can also serve as a platform where institutions can request for students for admission.
Note: schools can only admit students who reach their cut off point. If you do not reach the cut off point, you would be denied admission.
How to Accept or Reject Admission on JAMB CAPS
To accept or reject your Admission through JAMB CAPS, kindly follow the steps below;
- Go to JAMB e-facility portal at http://www.jamb.org.ng/efacility/

Enter your e-mail and password to login to your account

Click “Check 2020 UTME/DE Admission Status on CAPS”.

Select “Admission Status” on the left panel

Click on “Search” button.
Once you click on “Search” button, your “Admission Profile”, and the Admission Profile, you can now Accept or Reject your admission offer.
NOTE: If you are using a smartphone, you may not see the option to check your Admission Status on CAPS.
To sort this out, use Chrome browser, and then switch to desktop mode on your Chrome browser to view the complete page.
When using Chrome browser on phones the mobile view is the default view. To switch to desktop view on your phone, go to Chrome option and select desktop view.
Once you select desktop view, you can now follow the steps above on (How to Accept or Reject Admission on JAMB CAMP)
Note: CAPS service is free.
Candidates who have been admitted should print out their admission letter after accepting their admissions.
Candidates who have not been offered admission should continue to track their admission through JAMB CAPS.
If you registered JAMB with “awaiting result”, make sure you upload your O’Level result on JAMB portal so that your institution of choice will process your admission.
