Lagos announces second death from coronavirus, a 36-year old man

On Sunday, the Lagos State Government announced that a 36-year old Nigerian man has died of coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total deaths in the state to two.

This was announced through Twitter by the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi.

“We lost a #COVID19 patient; a 36-year-old Nigerian, male, who died in a private facility on April 4, 2020.

“The total number of #COVID19 patients who have died are now two.

“A case was evacuated bringing total evacuated to two.” The tweet said.

At the time of filing this report, Nigeria has a total of 232 confirmed cases of the virus in the country, 33 persons have been discharged with five deaths, according to the NCDC.
