The Transforming Nigerian Youths initiative intends to build a network of managerial and entrepreneurial change-makers, particularly among youths and women, in Nigeria’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector, focusing particularly on those in Lagos, Kano, and Kaduna states.
The Mastercard Foundation aspires to create a world where everyone may learn and succeed. Everyone should have an equal chance to succeed, regardless of their starting station in life. People can have that chance if they have access to education, financial services, and skills training. Our primary goal is to assist underprivileged young people in Africa in lifting themselves, their families, and their communities out of poverty and into a better future.
In Lagos, Kano, and Kaduna states, EDC is partnering with the Foundation to develop the capacity of 40,000 MSMEs, focusing specially on agricultural and creative industries, particularly women-led companies. The teaching will be delivered via EDC’s online learning system and IVR (Interactive Voice Response), enabling all learners to take part in the lessons while on the go.

Criteria for eligibility for the Mastercard Foundation Transforming Nigerian Youths Program
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are eligible to apply for the Mastercard Foundation Transforming Nigerian Youths Program.
Applicants must live in the states of Lagos, Kano, and Kaduna.
