Ministry of Education Invites Applicants to Apply for MTN Scholarship

The Federal Ministry of Education is inviting qualified Nigerian students to apply for the 2024 MTN Scholarship Programme. This initiative is designed to support academic excellence and includes three distinct categories:

1. MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (MTN STS): This scholarship is targeted at 300-level students in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). To be eligible, applicants must maintain a CGPA of 3.5 or its equivalent.

2. Scholarship for Blind Students (MTN SBS): Available to 200 and 300-level blind students studying any course. Applicants must have a CGPA of 2.5 or its equivalent.

3. Top Ten UTME Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to the top ten candidates with the highest scores in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), as recognized by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). These recipients will receive funding from their 100-level through to graduation, provided they meet the necessary academic requirements.

Applications for the MTN STS (phase 13) and MTN SBS (phase 11) are currently open. Interested students should visit MTN Scholarships for detailed information on eligibility criteria and application procedures. The deadline for submitting online applications is June 12, 2024.

    This is good! even though it’s not all that new. MTN Nigeria has been instrumental in the development of our youths and undergraduate students. What’s more interesting too is the fact that the ministry of Education is advising the youths especially the undergraduate student to make good the opportunity! This is indeed philanthropy at work.
