The Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing system for Agricultural Lending Micro Finance Bank (NIRSAL MFB) has disbursed loans valued at over N503.273 billion to over 881 thousand people and businesses across Nigeria.
According to data published by NIRSAL, most of the fund were granted under the COVID19 Support Fund released by the federal government to cushion the effect of the COVID19 pandemic on households and small businesses in the country.
Some of the beneficiaries of the loans included individuals and families whose bread winners lost their jobs between 2020 and 2021 as a result of the COVID19 pandemic.
