The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has allegedly blocked Corps members from it’s official Twitter and Facebook page for asking the date of camp reopening.
Mahmud Jada, on his post on NYSC telegram group lamented that he was blocked immediately after asking a simple question on when orientation camp will reopen.
“Because i asked NYSC about the date of camp reopening they have now blocked me”, he lamented.
Many other Corps members have also complained that they were blocked from NYSC social media platforms after leaving comments that disagreed with NYSC opinion.
However, we at Nyscinfo.com have been trying to connect with NYSC Twitter handler to know why they are blocking Corps Members for expressing their opinions, but cannot be reached at the time of this publication.

Corps members and Prospective Corps members have been asking NYSC to announce Orientation Camp reopening date to enable them schedule their activities; but NYSC response remains “very soon” without giving a specific date.
Meanwhile, the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on Covid 19 said it had given NYSC a resumption date, but it’s the responsibility of the management of NYSC to announce the date.
Corps members have also accused NYSC DG of focusing more on election than opening Orientation Camps.

There is also an information that the NYSC DG was given 16th October as deadline to announce orientation camp opening date. Confirming this, NYSC management said they were “in the very last days of waiting before reopening of camp”. So let’s keep our fingers crossed.
