NYSC suspends monthly biometric clearance for corps members nationwide

Due to coronavirus pandemic, the management of National Youth Service Corps, (NYSC) has decided to suspend the monthly biometric clearance of Corps Members Nationwide.

Below is the information from the memo.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF MONTHLY BIOMETRIC CLEARANCE

Further to Management’s efforts at preventing the spread of Corona Virus (COVID-19). The Director-General has directed the temporal suspension of monthly biometric clearance for the month of April and May. This is with a view to avoid congregation of Corps Members in line with the directives of the Federal Government.

3. Consequent from the above, State Coordinators are to ensure the following

i. Corps Members are to submit their clearance from their Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) to the LGls.

ii. The Local Government Inspector (LGl) will collect the monthly clearance and mark attendance for the Corps Members. The ICT Department will modify the LGI Marking system to enable the LGI perform this task.

iii. ICT Desk Officers are to support the LGIs in the implementation of this change to the monthly clearance.
