USADF is thrilled to announce the USADF Off-Grid Energy Challenge and is now accepting proposals from eligible African off-grid energy companies.

This grant is like a big bag of money that’s given to people who have great ideas about providing electricity to places that don’t have access to it. You know, there are many remote areas in the world where people don’t have electricity, and this grant aims to change that!

The application period is open from December 08, 2023, to January 31, 2024. Successful enterprises will have the opportunity to receive grant capital of up to $250,000

Eligibility:

To be eligible for the Challenge, applicants must be private companies and organizations (including non-profit and not-for-profit) that are majority owned and managed by Africans. These companies and organizations should be registered and operating in any of the following African countries: Benin, Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo (South Kivu), Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mauritania, Namibia, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.
