WAEC Adopt Digital Certificate, Scraps Manual Confirmation Of Results

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Nigeria is pleased to inform institutions, agencies, embassies, high commissions, and the general public that the Council will no longer provide manual confirmation or stamping of certificates of candidates who sat the WASSCE from 1999 until the present, as the Council has launched the WAEC Digital Certificate Platform for a seamless and prompt method of making stakeholders’ candidates’ certificates available.

The platform is also being expanded to include candidates from 1980, and the public will be informed of developments as they become available.

Candidates are able to access, download, and distribute their original WAEC certificates using the WAEC Digital Certificate Platform. Institutions and organizations can securely and quickly verify the candidates’ certificates.

Be aware that the certifications you can access and share via the site are real and come from the WAEC database.

We kindly request that all interested parties and members of the public make use of the digital certificate platform created to reduce the bottlenecks caused by the manual access and confirmation procedure.

In order to share, receive, and verify certificates digitally, we respectfully ask that institutions, organizations, agencies, embassies, high commissions, etc. furnish email addresses. Additionally, everyone involved should update their portals to allow for the distribution of the WAEC certificate.

The mobile version of the WAEC Digital Certificate Platform can be downloaded from the Android and iOS app stores, and it can be viewed online at https://www.waec.org.

For further inquiries, please contact WAEC at support@waec.org and WAEC will be happy to assist you. Issued by the Public Affairs Department.
