The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has opened the application portal for the 2021 WAEC private registration. Note that registration for the First Series of Waec private has ended but the Second Series registration has opened. If you are interested and you want apply, follow the step by step guidelines listed below:
Step 1: Login
If you want to register, the first step is to visit Waec’s official registration portal to login. Once you are logged in, you will begin your registration by enrolling your fingerprints and capturing other personal details using the Biometric Data Capture Software (you can download it on the portal) or enroll at any registration centre. Make sure your surname and other names are captured using the software
Step 2: Bio Data
Your bio data is every information that you are required to provide on the application form. Ensure that you provide complete and accurate information about yourself. This will help Waec to plan properly for you. Note that the names submitted must not exceed 40 characters.
Step 3: Picture Capture Using Webcam
Take a picture of yourself with a webcam. Camera specification: 2.0MP 720p USB 2.0 Color: High Resolution RBG Support Hi-Speed USB 2.0 certified 2.0. This picture will be appear on your photo card and certificate.
Step 4: Contact Information
You are mandated to provide your contact information, and these include your mobile phone’s number, email, residential address, residential city and other information requested on the form. Ensure you use an active phone number as it will be used to contact you of the need arises.
Step 5: Selection of Preferred Exam Tow
You are to select the city and town that you want to write the exam. Note that Waec will allocate the exact exam centre to candidates.
Step 6: Subjects Selection
While English Language and Mathematics are automatically selected because they are compulsory subjects, candidates are to select the subjects they wish to register for this examination.
Step 7: Declaration
Upon reading the declaration section, tick the checkboxes before you submit your application form.
Step 8: Upon completing the registration form, click the ‘ACCEPT” button to see the preview of your details. Ensure you review the information and make corrections where necessary. This is important because you will not be able to correct any error upon final submission.
Step 9: Printing of Admission Notice/Photo Card
Print your photo card. Note that it should carry your examination number and centre automatically generated for you by the system.
