The Taraba State Government gave a public announcement about the official opening (employment), into the state’s civil service.

This notice was made known on the 5th of July, 2021. Which is some weeks back by the Taraba State head of service Mr. John Mamman.
The State made the form purchasable at a fee of three thousand five hundred naira (N3,500). While those working already, and wish to transfer across agencies, department, and ministry should pay the sum of three thousand naira (N3,000).
This very ploy of paying for the employment form has caused serious distress in the state, as the youths frown over such an act.
The major reason why the indigenes outcry over the sales of the form online is because, similar thing happened some years back.
It was recalled that the commission conducted alike employment exercise in the year 2017, of which over thirty thousand (30,000) applicants showed interest, but less than 10% was lucky to be employed.
It was alleged that only politician’s candidates got the job, whereas qualified persons purchased the form thinking they would be considered.
From that exercise, the government made over one hundred million (N100,000,000) from forms purchased.
Due to this, the youths of the state are kicking against the current exercise. To them, the government wants to use it to generate revenue, like they previously did.
Other issues spring forth as the concerned youths kept on pouring out their anger. Issues such as; the State government not paying civil servants regularly, pensioners not receiving their pensions.
Some see the sales of the form as an unfair act, extortion, etc.
Others think the form should be made free of charge, if the government genuinely wants to consider the unemployed.
