Disengagement from the Npower Programme is a requirement of the beneficiaries’ engagement, hence this is no longer news. It was made very clear that Npower Program participants would be hired for a year of service before making room for newly recruited participants.
The good news is that qualifying beneficiaries can still apply for a new program called Nexit Programme as a Npower-exited beneficiary following disengagement.
The Federal Government, along with the CBN, created the Nexit Programme as a way to give former Npower volunteers the tools they need to establish or expand their own enterprises.
The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, stated that they are putting in place specific procedures so that former Npower beneficiaries can transition to the Nexit program before the Nexit Scheme is flagged off in 2021.
Given the foregoing, if the Nexit program is implemented, qualified disengaged Npower batch C volunteers may also profit from it.
