When searching for a job in a country like Nigeria, please be extra careful because you might be a victim of fraud, ritual or rape.

To be able to identify a fake job or interview, below is a list of what to look out for:

  1. Jobs that request for your pictures but won’t specify more details about the job are usually fake.

  2. Don’t go to a job interview at a hotel unless you applied to work in a hotel.

  3. Jobs that don’t have websites or known to many are usually fake.

  4. Any job that’s too good to be true, it really is. For example, any company offering a high salary for an entry-level job is a red flag.

  5. If you are going out for a job interview, please inform your family members and ensure you go to exactly the address that you tell your family. Any change of address is a red flag.

  6. Do not go for an interview alone, especially ladies, because it’s no longer safe out there, and nobody can be trusted.

  7. Any job that requires you to pay any fee to get the job is a red flag. Please, once a fee is required during applications or interview, just know that it’s fake.

  1. Their was a company that ask me to go with 650000 naira during interview, for foreign account, visa,work permits, if I will be given the job,I’m confused if real I should go for the interview, for the sake of security I mention the company name
