Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, popularly known as GRV, is a Nigerian architect, activist, and politician who hails from Lagos State. GRV is the Labour Party’s (LP) candidate for governor of Lagos State. Professional Career
GRV worked with Franklin Ellis Architects while he was in the United Kingdom. Prior to entering politics in any substantial manner after his return to Nigeria, he first accepted a position with SISA, followed by employment with Cliff Consulting (now known as Building Partnership CCP) and Patrick Wayi.
Political Life
He was one of the first individuals to benefit from the Not Too Young To Run Act. As a member of the KOWA party, Rhodes-Vivour ran for the office of chairman of the Ikeja Local Government Area in 2017. He stated that one of the main driving forces for his choice to run for governor was the lack of god-fatherism inside that party. However, he was ultimately defeated by the APC candidate, who was running for the position.
He ran as a PDP candidate to represent Lagos West in the senate elections that were held in 2019. In contrast to focusing on Lagos West, which had already given him its support, he referred to the incumbent senator as an absentee senator who was squandering additional funds on a fruitless campaign for governor in Ogun State.
