FG Cautions Nigerians Over Fake Npower Shortlist

The Federal Government through the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs has asked the Nigerians youths who applied for N-power program to disregard the fake N-power shortlist being circulated online.

The Ministry on its official Twitter handle warned prospective N-power beneficiaries to “beware of fraudsters”, saying the scheme will communicate to applicants through their official channels.

Recall that nyscinfo.com on Thursday warned Nigerian youths to beware of a circulated fake Npower shortlist website at ‘https://npower-fmhds-gov-ng.web.app‘ that scammers currently use to extract people’s information.

Note: The N-power has not released shortlisted names for Batch C. Once they do, you will be communicated through the N-power official website.

However, the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs has cleared the air concerning the fake shortlist website. Below is what the Ministry tweeted;

The fake website claimed that about 1.2 million out of 5 million candidates have been shortlisted for the N-Power Batch C program, and ask applicants to check their names on the fraudulent website.

Please, DO NOT input your email or phone number on that website. And if you have shared the fake website with loved ones, forward this post to them so they will know the site is fake.

But if you have checked your name on the fake website, please be wary of those scammers as they may send a fraudulent message to you or phishing link to steal your bank details or ask you to pay to be enlisted in Npower program.
