The Mandela Residential Fellowship is a prestigious initiative inspired by the vision and principles of Nelson Mandela, a global advocate for equality, justice, and social change. This fellowship aims to empower emerging leaders from diverse backgrounds and equip them with the tools, knowledge, and networks needed to drive positive transformations in their communities.
The Mandela Residential Fellowship will take place in Sapanca, a scenic town near Istanbul, Turkey. The weeklong fellowship will take place from October 14-20, 2023.

Benefits of CDA Mandela Residential Fellowship
Currently, there are only two categories available.
- Fully Funded: Interested candidates will apply to be considered as a fully funded fellow at the Mandela Residential Fellowship 2023. The Centre for Diplomatic Advancement is offering comprehensive program coverage. As a fully funded fellow of Mandela Residential Fellowship, you will have all program-related expenses covered for the duration of the week-long fellowship. This includes return airfare, accommodation, meals, transportation, and any additional costs associated during the fellowship activities.
- Self-Funded: As a self-funded attendee of Mandela Residential Fellowship, you will have program-related expenses covered for the duration of the week-long fellowship. This includes accommodation, meals, intercity transportation, and any additional costs associated during the fellowship activities.
Requirements for CDA Mandela Residential Fellowship Qualification
- Open to young professionals and aspiring leaders from around the world who are passionate about driving social impact and making a difference.
- Applicants should be between the ages of 16 and 35. However, exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
