Steps To Check WAEC Result On Phone

Did you sit for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), which was conducted by the West African Examination Council (WAEC)? If ‘yes’, WAEC management has released the results for this year’s Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE). In this post, we will show you steps on how to check WAEC result both online and via text message.

In a statement by the WAEC National Office Chairman, Patrick Areghan, disclosed that this year’s exam recorded success than the previous year. If you participated in this year’s exam, you can proceed to check your results via SMS or by visiting the official WAEC portal.

You can check WAEC result with your phone in two ways, namely:

How to check WAEC result via Text Message

According to the West African Examination Council, candidates who sat for the exam can check their results via their mobile phones. Candidates are to follow the steps below:

In a text message (SMS), send: WAECExamNoPIN*ExamYear
To 32327 (MTN, Airtel & GLO subscribers),

For example: WAEC4260102002123456789012*2021

Please, kindly follow the format shown above. There is no need for space in the message.

After sending the SMS to the short-code (32327), the result will be delivered via mobile phone at a cost of N30.

How to check WAEC Results online

Another way to check your 2021 WAEC result, aside from SMS method, is via the WAEC portal. Kindly follow the guideline below to check your WAEC result:

1. Visit WAEC result checker on https://www.waecdirect.org/,

2. Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number (i.e. your 7-digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number e.g. 5123456789),

3. Enter the 4-digit Examination Year eg. 2021,

4. Select your Exam Type (e.g. School candidate result),

5. Enter the e-PIN Voucher Number,

6. Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your e-PIN,

7. Finally, click on “Submit” button and wait for the results window to come up.
