The NYDA is a South African body that was founded largely to address the difficulties that the country’s young face. An Act of Parliament (Act 54 of 2008) established the Agency. The institution was created to provide a unified body that addresses youth development concerns at the national, provincial, and local government levels. The Agency should be viewed in the perspective of South Africa’s overall development dynamics.
