APSAN Recruitment Portal: 3,870 Nigerians to be recruited

The Agricultural Produce Sellers Association of Nigeria (APSAN) has announced plans to employ 3,870 Nigerians to combat substandard agricultural produce in the country. The APSAN recruitment portal is now open for eligible Nigerians to apply.

This announcement was made in Abuja by the national president of the Agricultural Produce Sellers Association of Nigeria, Comrade Aloys Akortsaha. According to Akortsaha, all Nigerian youths with a minimum O’level qualification and above are eligible to apply.

Nyscinfo has learned that ensuring food safety remains a challenge in Nigeria, with statistics indicating that over 150,000 Nigerians die annually from illnesses caused by the food they consume.

Akortsaha highlighted that the recruitment exercise aims to hire 5 individuals per local government area across Nigeria. This initiative seeks to eliminate unsafe and contaminated food, classified as substandard agricultural produce in the country.

APSAN’s recruitment is in collaboration with the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON), aligning with the federal government’s ‘Zero Reject’ policy for agro produce exports.
