ASRI Future Leaders Program – Every year, the ASRI-Future Leaders Program (FLP) selects 30 individuals for exposure to selected themes in politics, policy, democracy, and governance in preparation for a career in politics, public (civil) service, civil society, business, or the media.
The program’s goal is to build the capacity, skills, aptitudes, and attitudes of those who want to work in and strengthen the media, civil society, public service, and government sectors, in particular.
They improve your social and human capital by growing you as a young person, which not only accelerates your personal progress but also leads to more opportunities in the future. Graduates of the ASRI Future Leaders Fellowship Program in 2022 are expected to become influential and prominent leaders in government and civil society in the medium to long term, with ongoing support and mentorship from ASRI, occupying a variety of positions in non-profit organisations, interest groups, policy institutes, media organisations, the public service, and so on.
Structure of the Program
Fellows must attend Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the online component of the fellowship programme, which runs from February through May 2022. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic’s physical distancing limits, the theoretical component will be administered online via Zoom webinars and breakout rooms between February and May 2022.
After completing the programme, you will participate in a 3–6 month work experience placement (externship) at an organisation that matches your goals and interests. These will take place either online or in person, depending on the rules of the individual organisations. During this time, online contact sessions through Zoom will be held twice a week.

Participants in the programme are not charged any money. For online participation, data costs will be covered, as well as a subsistence payment.
