Bauchi governor officially tests positive for coronavirus

The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed has tested negative for coronavirus (COVID-19), after testing positive on 24th March 2020.

This was disclosed by the Governor on Thursday through his Twitter account.

“Alhamdulillah. I just received the green light. My second test for #COVID19 returned negative. I thank you all for your prayers & support even while I was in isolation. Most importantly, all the praises & thanks be to Allah – the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. #GreaterBauchi.

“My gratitude also goes to our religious leaders within and outside the state for their constant prayers, also our meticulous Bauchi #COVIDー19 team and the NCDC.” The tweet read.

At the time of filing this report, Nigeria has a total of 288 confirmed cases of the virus in the country, 51 persons have been discharged with seven deaths, according to the NCDC.
