The rate at which genuine websites are being cloned in Nigeria is alarming, as most persons who hardly make research ends up falling victim to the evil plots designed by the fraudsters who created such webpages. The management of NIRSAL Microfinance Bank (NMFB) has just busted a fake Nyif loan revalidation website that many people have fallen for.
The official website for Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) loan is, https://nyif.nmfb.com.ng but scammers have released a cloned version which look like the officiaI site. The fake website is, http://nyif.com.ng, which unscrupulous elements are now using to extract BVN from innocent applicants of the NYIF loan scheme.
With the above fake website getting to the Management of NIRSAL Microfinance Bank (NMFB), a warning was issued to all applicants of the NYIF Loan to disregard any message to input personal information, and BVN on the flagged website which is being created by some unknown fraudsters, whose aim is to dupe innocent applicants.
Below is a screenshot of the message sent by the Management of NMFB;
This should serve as a warning to all internet users, job seekers, as well as government/private personnel who are fond of imputing vital information on any website, to verify the authenticity of the webpages they visit before offering vital information.
