Corps member Gives Birth to Baby girl at NYSC Orientation Camp in Ekiti

A member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has given birth to a bouncing baby girl at the NYSC orientation camp in Ekiti State.

The Corps member is one of the 653 corps members posted in Ekiti State with 2020 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1A.

This was disclosed by the NYSC Public Relations Officer in the state, Mrs Rose Onoja, in a statement she presented to newsmen in Ado Ekiti.

Onoja said the new mother was rushed to the clinic when she was falling into labour.

From the Clinic, she was transferred to the General Hospital, Emure, where she gave birth to a baby girl.

According to Onoja, both mother and baby are in good condition.

Speaking further on the introduction of the Camp Court in the Ekiti NYSC camp, the State Coordinator, Mrs Mary Chikezie said it was part of new strategies aimed at instilling discipline among corps members.

She warned against acts that go against the camp rules and regulations.

She said;

“we urge all corps members to adhere to the rules. As a matter of fact, there is a Camp Court for the trial of any erring one.

“Also, in order to maintain safety of all corps members on camp due to COVID 19 pandemic, we have ensured that necessary”.
