Diri Digital Entrepreneurship Empowerment Program

Bayelsa State Ministry of Communications, Science, and Technology has announced the start of the application process for the Diri Digital Entrepreneurship Empowerment Programme (DDEEP).

His Excellency Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, launched the Diri Digital Entrepreneurship Empowerment Programme (DDEEP) under the Ministry of Communication, Science and Technology, with the goal of training youths, women, and public workers with cutting-edge ICT skills (ICT).

The primary goal of the initiative is to train 8,000 Bayelsans in four years.

The training will be done in stages, with the first cohort starting on November 3rd, 2021.

The modules for the training are as follows:

  • Mobile App Development
  • Website Development
  • Computer Hardware Maintenance
  • Computer Networking
  • Mobile Phone Repairs

Criteria for Eligibility

  • Applicants must be Bayelsa State residents.
  • You must be a young person (male or female) between the ages of 17 and 35 years old.
  • Should be able to utilize a computer and the internet on a basic level.
  • Young school leavers, students, and graduates are eligible to apply. Applicants must have a working gmail account as well as a phone number.
  • Residents of Yenagoa are required to apply.
