SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT BY COMRADE NNADI GOODLUCK

I’d know that you’ve read a lot of lies in the internet for some time now and I’m about to set the record straight. Read carefully.

1. The DG of NYSC, Major General Sulaiman Zakari Kazaure, is still the Director-General of NYSC, he was never replaced, as seen in some media publications.

2. The DG of NYSC, Major General Sulaiman Zakari Kazaure does not operate a Twitter account, tweets emanating from @dgszkazaure and @NyscHelpCenter are fraudulent and misleading to the general public. The official NYSC pages are; Facebook- @ officialnysc, Twitter- @ officialnyscng, Instagram- @officialnyscng. Please take note of these.

3. Additional one month was never added to the already 12 months of National Service, don’t be misled by rumor mongers. Even the NYSC management don’t have the power to alter the NYSC Act, Cap N84, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004. By the virtue of the provision of Section 2 (1) (d) of the NYSC Act, “….to make himself available for service for a continuous period of ONE YEAR from the date specified in the call-up instrument served upon him.”

4. 2018 Batch B Stream One will not be doing POP with 2018 Batch B Stream Two. According to the NYSC 2019 Calendar, the POP date for 2018 Batch B Stream one is Thursday, 4th July 2019, whilst for 2018 Batch B Stream Two is Thursday, 8th August 2019. But, nevertheless, the official memo for the POP will still be announced by the NYSC management in due content resource.
