The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has alerted the public of a purported recruitment portal that is making round on social media.
The EFCC said, it is on the trail of the scammers behind the fake recruitment as no efforts would be spared to bring them to justice.
For the avoidance of doubt, EFCC recruitment is transparent, structured and merit driven process which is always heavily advertised through the mass media and the Commission’s social media platforms.
Unfortunately, scammers are taking this as an advantage to defraud inspecting members of the public by publishing devious employment opportunities.
According to a statement released by the Head of Media & Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, the agency dissociated itself from the portal and warned the public to disregard it.
The portal notified eligible applicants of a scheduled recruitment exercise starting from May 23, 2023.
Meanwhile, the commission stressed that there is no such recruitment portal, neither is there any recruitment schedule at the moment.
The commission advised promoters of such scams to desist from their fraudulent schemes or they would be arrested for prosecution.
The commission enjoined members of the public to ignore the recruitment portal.
