Enough Time Was Given Before Closing Npower Nexit Portal – Minister

The federal government, through the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development (FMHDSD), Hon. Sadiya Umar Farouq has said it gave enough time before closing NEXIT registration portal when giving update regarding the program.

The Nexit Programme is one of the recent initiated introduced by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs in collaboration with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). It is actually an empowerment program set up solely for the Batch A and Batch B Npower beneficiaries.

According to the Minister the Nexit portal has being opened for the Exited Npower volunteers to register right from the month of November 2020, and was just closed few weeks back. The long duration of registration was to make interested persons who are eligible to have better time of registering.

This means anyone who tried to register for the Nexit programme will not be allowed to do so anymore.

One of the major reasons why so much time was given, was due to the fact that several issues were encountered by applicants such as phone number, email, and other login issues.

Currently, over four hundred thousand (400,000) persons have applied, and needs their application to be processed for further proceedings, and without doubt such task isn’t that easy.

Since the Nexit portal has being closed, there is hope for the Exited Batches AB to be transited into another package. Before the Nexit program will be fully looked into, the management of Humanitarian Affairs has been working steadfastly to ensure that they accommodate the assigned number of Npower Batch C applicants, which is one million (1,000,000) Nigerian youths.

The recruitment process is already on the verification stage, as only five hundred applicants were selected for the first stream awaiting the second stream where the other five hundred persons will be selected.

Hopefully, after the current selection of the most qualified Npower Batch C applicants, the Nexit program will be the next to be faces.
