FG Offer Job Placement to 30,000 3MTT Applicants

The Federal Government has disclosed plans to provide job placements for 30,000 applicants of the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme.

The Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, revealed this update during a recent announcement.

He emphasized the importance of not only delivering technical training but also connecting graduates with suitable employment opportunities.

The first cohort of the 3MTT programme is set to conclude their training this week, with successful graduates being considered for job placements. Over 1,400 organizations have expressed interest in recruiting from the first cohort, with announcements regarding these job placements expected in the coming weeks.

Additionally, the Minister announced that the date for the announcement of the second batch of the 3MTT programme has been scheduled for February 29th, 2024. This batch will comprise 270,000 Nigerians who will undergo training starting in March.

The 3MTT programme, initiated by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, aims to train 3 million individuals in technical skills. It aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision of creating 2 million digital jobs by 2025. The training will cover various topics including software development, UI/UX design, data analysis, cybersecurity, and more.

As the programme progresses, the government expresses gratitude to partners such as @NITDANigeria, @IHSTowers, and @UNDPNigeria for their support and looks forward to engaging more partners in the future.
