FG to Open MSME Intervention Fund Application Portal on February 9

The Federal Government (FG) has announced plan to open Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Intervention Fund application portal on Tuesday, February 9th 2021.

List of Federal Government LoansThe minister of state for industry, trade and investment, Mariam Katagum, disclosed that a total of 100,000 businesses would benefit from the scheme.

The minister noted that the registration for the guaranteed off-take stimulus scheme and the general MSME grant would commence from Tuesday, February 9 and will end on Thursday, February 18.

Nyscinfo.com learnt the portal would be opened from the midnight (11:59 on) on Tuesday, February 9 to Thursday.

According to Information available to us, the guaranteed offtake stimulus scheme is targeted at protecting and sustaining the incomes of vulnerable small businesses across Nigeria by guaranteeing the offtake of their products.

The steering committee of the MSME disclosed that a total of 100,000 MSMEs within Nigeria would benefit from the scheme, adding that Lagos would produce 3,880 beneficiaries, Kano 3,280, Abia 3,080 while other states, each would produce 2,640 beneficiaries.

The products captured in the scheme also included face masks, hand sanitiser, liquid soap, disinfectant and processed food items.
