Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS) Application Portal 2021

We are pleased to inform the public that the long awaited Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS) is back on TV. Nyscinfo learnt that the GUS survival reality tv show, which dominated the Nigerian airwaves in the early 2000s, has, now triumphantly returned after seven years off-air. In this post, we will show you the Gulder Ultimate Search application portal, and how you can register for the show.

Gulder Ultimate Search began in 2004, and enjoyed 11 seasons before going off air. The reality show became the most-watched reality TV series in Nigeria before it stopped in 2016.

In 2021, after a long time off air, GUS made its comeback with theme: “The Age of Craftsmanship”.

How to Register for Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS).

GUS registration will commence on September 1 to September 8, 2021. To register, interested participants should go to the GUS application portal.

Gulder Ultimate Search Requirements

• Get your personal information or bio-data ready,
• You will be required to take an aptitude test,
• You need to get ready a recent half frame picture of yourself on a plain black background.
• Make a 1 minute, full frame video of yourself, and state why you should take part in this year’s Gulder Ultimate Search (hint: show your fitness level and video size should not be more than 20mb.

Kindly note that participation is open to only Nigerians between 21 and 35 years.

Screening Venue: The first GUS screening session will start on September 13, in Abuja and Enugu, while the second screening session starts on September 16, in Lagos Nigeria.

The Gulder Ultimate Search TV show [Theme: Age of Craftsmanship] will be on air on October 16, and will run till December 19, 2021 when the grand finale will hold.

Nature of the GUS Show (How it is done)

From the first edition, that was aired in 2004, contestants camped in different parts of Nigeria to struggle against themselves, the wild (nature), and their search for a hidden treasure that bring fames and fortunes to the last person standing.

GUS Prize

The GUS prize rosed from three million Naira ( N3,000,000) from the first edition to ten million Naira (10,000,000) and a brand new car in the last edition. Meanwhile, this year’s prize is not yet known. We promise to update this page once the prize is known.

GUS past winners

Some of the past winners have become household names in the Nigerian entertainment industry. They are;

• Kunle Remi (winner of 2010 edition),
• Dennis Okike (winner of the season 8 edition), and
• Chris Okagbue (winner of season 10 edition).

The show has indeed produced many stars, some of which are still very active in the Nigerian entertainment industry till today.

Gulder Ultimate Search 2021 Host

The GUS host for this year’s season is not yet known, but the past editions were anchored by Nollywood actors Chidi Mokeme and Bob Manuel Udokwu.

What happens after GUS application?

Successful candidates will undergo a regional selection process (auditioning) in Abuja and Enugu on September 13 and 14 respectively, while the Lagos auditioning will hold on September 16 and 17, 2021.

Where will the GUS show air?

The show will be aired live on DStv and other local stations across Nigeria.
