Applicants of the scheme will be trained and supported with loans ranging from N350,000 to N3million, depending on the scale of their businesses.
The incumbent Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq who has the ambitious plans to raise a new generation of successful youths (young men and women) that will bring about positive economical changes.
The initiative known as ‘Kwapreneur’ is open to the indigenous people of kwara state (Kwarans) with viable and scalable business ideas, where Applicants are expected not to be above thirty-five (35) years of age.
It is among the country’s biggest investments in businesses owned by young citizens (youths).
According to a statement released by the KWASSIP Ag. GM, Mohammed Brimah, the initiative is being organized by Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP).
The first session/phase of Kwapreneur targets at least three hundred (300) youths that has good business proposals. Adding that, at least one thousand two hundred (1,200) youths will become beneficiaries of the initiative in the next four (4) years to come.
Applicants who are successful will be supported fully with loans ranging from three hundred and fifty thousand naira (N350,000) to three million naira (N3,000,000), depending on their business plans. In addition, a special training will be done, which will greatly benefit the successful applicants.
