The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has launched a platform where direct entry and UTME candidates can easily go and check their admission status. Anyone who takes part in any exam conducted by JAMB, can now proceed to check their admission status.

Checking admission status through JAMB is so important because some institutions may not bother to publish their admission list on their website. Therefore, candidates who applied for admission in such institution, have only option to check their admission status on JAMB portal.

How to check your name on JAMB Admission List

Checking of admission status on JAMB portal requires having a profile account with JAMB. Create JAMB Account. Those who already have an account with JAMB should follow the steps below to check their admission status:

  1. Go to JAMB e-facility portal.

  2. Login to your JAMB account using your email and Password.

  3. After successful login, click “Check Admission Status” button.

  4. Select your Exam year.

  5. Enter your JAMB registration number in the space provided;

  6. Click “Check Admission Status” button.

Once you click on “Check Admission Status”, your admission status would be displayed on the screen. If you have been offered admission, then ‘accept’ or ‘reject’ your JAMB admission offer.

Note: If you are successfully admitted, make sure you accept or reject the admission offer on time to enable processing of your admission.

Also, if you accept your admission, kindly print out your admission letter. It’s because, your JAMB admission letter will be needed for clearance in the school you have been admitted into.

Candidates who used O’level “awaiting result” during JAMB registration should upload their O’Level result on JAMB portal to enable the institution you got an admission to process your registration.

Those who have not been offered admission should keep checking the JAMB portal. This is because JAMB admission list is released in batches. So it’s possible you will be in the 2nd or 3rd batch.
