Kebbi State confirms first case of coronavirus

On Sunday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed the first case of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Kebbi State.

Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu added, saying that the index case was a 40-year old man, with travel history to Lagos.

The governor said: “Regrettably, however, Kebbi state has taken 13 samples to the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control ( NCDC).

“Today, one of the samples returned positive. He has been taken to the Isolation centre and contacts tracing is taking place.”
