The Government of Canada provides numerous scholarship programs to help candidates from other countries who want to study, do research, or obtain professional development in Canada for a limited time.

The following scholarships are currently accepting applications. Interested applicants are advised to apply as soon as possible because some of these opportunities have close deadlines.

1. KPMG Canada Internship For International Graduate Students

International applicants are welcome to apply for the 2024 KPMG Canada Internship, which offers graduates an exceptional opportunity to learn and enhance their talents in a recognized institution.

2. Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship For Doctoral Study In Canadian Universities

The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship (Vanier CGS) program assists Canadian universities in recruiting highly qualified doctorate candidates.

3. Canada: Québec Government Merit Scholarship Program For International Students

The Quebec Government launches the Merit Scholarship Program for international Students (PBEEE) to attract the brightest international researchers and students, as well as to promote Québec universities and College Centres for Technology Transfer (CCTT) overseas.

4. Lester B. Pearson Scholarship Program for International Students

The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program at the University of Toronto is designed to recognize international students who have excelled in academics and are leaders in their communities.

5. ACI Foundation Scholarship in USA & Canada for Undergraduate and Graduate Students

Through the ACI Foundation, the American Concrete Institute provides Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships and Fellowships to international students studying structural design, materials, and construction. Annually, ACI Foundation Fellowships and Scholarships are awarded to students interested in concrete to help them accomplish their educational and career goals.

6. Quebec Government Master’s training scholarships for French-Speaking World

Aimed for French-speaking applicants who intend to begin or continue a graduate-level university research program in one of Quebec’s French-speaking universities in one of the subjects covered by the FRQNT.

7. Canada – Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) for International Students

The Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) and Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST) programs reward academic excellence in Ontario’s publicly funded universities. The Ontario government and partner institutions jointly fund both initiatives.

8. Canada: Dalhousie University President’s Awards For International Students

The President’s Awards are intended to reward students who have received large scholarships from the Killam doctoral or Tri-agency doctoral contests for their outstanding academic achievements.

9. CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars Programme For International Researchers (Fully-Funded)

The CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars program gives financing and support to scholars to help them build their research network and develop important leadership abilities. Global Scholars are researchers from any country who have received their first academic appointment during the last five years.

10. Quebec Government Climate Action Scholarship Program For Doctoral Students

This program is designed for PhD students who want to use science advice to expand the impact of their research.

11. Canada: Mitacs Globalink Research Internship For Undergraduate Students

Mitacs Globalink Research Internship is a competitive program for international students from Australia, Brazil, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Pakistan, Taiwan, Tunisia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

12. Canada: University Of British Columbia (UBC) Doctoral Scholarships For International Students

The Killam PhD Scholarship is offered by the University of British Columbia (UBC) in collaboration with the Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Fund for Advanced Studies to outstanding PhD students.

13. Africa Continent Bursary At Niagara College For African Students

Do you want to study in Canada? The Africa Continent Bursary at Niagara College is now accepting applications. Apply right away. These scholarships are available to students applying for their first semester at Niagara College.

14. Margaret McNamara Educational Grants (MMEG) Scholarships For Women From Developing Countries To Study In US & Canada

Scholarship applications for Margaret McNamara Educational Grants (MMEG) for female students from developing countries to help women further their education. The grants will be used in schools in the United States and Canada.

15. Canada Graduate Scholarships – Master’s program for Scholars

The CGS M program provides financial support to high-calibre scholars enrolled in a qualified master’s or, in some cases, doctorate program in Canada (for additional details, see Eligibility). This assistance enables these academics to focus entirely on their research in their chosen subjects.

16. Quebec Government Postdoctoral Training Scholarships for Citizens of other countries

The postdoctoral scholarship is worth $45,000 each year. The maximum sum is $90,000 divided into six (6) instalments.

17. Margaret McNamara Educational Grants (MMEG) for African Women to Study in South Africa

McNamara, Margaret Women from poor and middle-income countries who want to return to or remain in their home countries or other developing nations are eligible for education subsidies.

18. Canada: University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship for International Students

The UCalgary International Entrance Scholarship is a distinguished prize that acknowledges an international student’s great achievements when they begin their undergraduate studies.

19. Fulbright Canada – Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Doctoral Fellowships

The Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation and Fulbright Canada established a joint chair in contemporary public policy for American academics and researchers based in the United States who want to collaborate with Canadian peers.

20. McGill University Canada – MasterCard Foundation Scholarships for African Students

McGill University in Canada is collaborating with the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program to provide undergraduate scholarships to African students for a period of ten years. Master’s level scholarships will be offered.

21. University of British Columbia – MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program for African Students – Canada

The University of British Columbia, Canada, has partnered with the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program to award $25 million in scholarships to African students over the next ten years. The program will benefit 77 undergraduate and 35 master’s degree students.

22. Microsoft research PhD Fellowship Program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics

The Microsoft PhD program is a two-year scholarship for outstanding PhD students who have been recognized by their universities. You must apply for this grant during your second or third year of PhD studies.

23. Study in Canada: University of Laval Masters Scholarship for African and European Students

The goal of this program is to encourage academic excellence by providing scholarships to foreign students who are citizens of African or European countries (other than France*) and have been admitted to a master’s degree at Université Laval.

24. International Leader of Tomorrow Undergraduate Scholarships at University of British Columbia

The University of British Columbia – UBC – Canada International Leader of Tomorrow Award honors international students who have demonstrated superior academic achievement, leadership skills, involvement in student affairs and community service, and recognized achievement in fields such as the performing arts, sports, debating, or creative writing, as well as external academic competitions and examinations.

25. Coady Institute Global Change Leaders Program for Women in Developing Countries

This program helps women from developing nations enhance their leadership skills so that they may contribute to creativity and change in their businesses and communities.
