Nigerian Nursing Education Requirements

Students who want to study nursing in Nigeria must meet the following requirements as a prerequisite:

  • In either WAEC or NECO, a minimum of credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry must be obtained in a single sitting.
  • In JAMB, you must have written Physics, English, Chemistry, and Biology (UTME).
  • To be eligible for the Post-UTME tests, you must score at least 240 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). I gave it a score of 240 since it improves your chances of being admitted.
  • In the post-UME, you must beat the university’s nursing cut-off mark. Obtain a high grade. It’s a challenging course.
