Fake Universities Unveiled By NUC 2021 | See List

The National University Commission (NUC) is the body bestowed with the responsibility to handle university education in the country. To attain stable university system in Nigeria, a list of fake universities unveiled by NUC has been released.

Fifty-eight (58) tertiary institutions made the list. And the NUC has stopped them from operating the illegal universities. Read also: JAMB Cut-off Mark For 2021 Admission In Federal Universities

Besides the fake universities discovered, a total number of eight (8) universities are running illegal degree programs. Although the commission is still investigating the schools involve.

Furthermore, a strict warning was passed to the masses not to seek admission to the said schools. As certificates from them will be unaccepted for job placement, neither will it grant them call for the NYSC program.

List of The Fake Universities Unveiled By NUC

The schools are;

  3. Volta University College, Volta Region, Ghana.
  4. Atlanta University, Anyigba, Kogi state.
  5. United Nigeria University College, Okija Anambra State.
  6. UNESCO University, Ndoni, Rivers State.
  7. The International University, Missouri USA.
  8. Tiu International University, UK.
  9. London External Studies, UK.
  10. Lobi Business School, Makurdi, Benue State.
  11. Bolta University College, Aba.
  12. Western University, Esie, Kwara State.
  13. EC-Council USA, Ikeja Lagos Study Centre.
  14. Concept College/Universities, London.
  15. Kingdom of Christ University, Abuja.
  16. Filfom University, Mbaise, Imo State.
  17. lantic Intercontinental University, Okija Anambra State.
  18. Middle Belt University, Otukpo.
  19. Metro University, Dutse/Bwari Abuja.
  20. Olympic University, Nsukka, Enugu State.

While the eight (8) tertiary institutions running illegal degree programs are;

  4. National Universities of Nigeria, Keffi, Nassarawa State.
  5. North Central University, Otukpo, Benue state.
  6. Richmond Open University, Arochukwu, Abia state.
  7. Saint Clement University, Ekiti state.
  8. West Coast University, Umuahia.

With the publication of the fake universities list, anyone schooling or aspiring to school in any of the universities will do so at own risk. Because there is no accreditation acknowledged to the schools.

In due course, appropriate actions will be taken to ensure Nigerians are safe from such citadel of learning.
