All 26 closed Kwankwaso Skills Institutions have been reopened, according to Abba Kabir Yusuf, the new Executive Governor of Kano State, a Public Servant who is enthusiastic about Good Governance and Collective Prosperity. This was revealed via a tweet from his Twitter account.
The Governor directed that all 26 Entrepreneurship Institutes established by the Sen. Kwankwaso Administration with the mandate of equipping our youth and women with soft and hard skills in various fields of endeavor, and which had been closed down and abandoned by the previous administration, be reopened.
Enrollment in these institutions will begin as soon as the relevant arrangements are put in place.
The Kwankwaso entrepreneurship institutions were a group of institutions and initiatives founded by former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to encourage entrepreneurship and skill development among young people in Kano State, Nigeria.
The Kwankwasiyya Skills Acquisition Centers, the Kwankwasiyya Women Empowerment Scheme, and the Kwankwasiyya Youth Empowerment Scheme were all established by Kwankwaso to foster entrepreneurship and skill development in Kano State.
Overall, the Kwankwaso entrepreneurial institutions have played an important role in promoting entrepreneurship and economic growth in Kano State, as well as in providing opportunity for young people to develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the twenty-first century economy.
